Torae

Torae is definitely one of the more slept on MC's out right now. This first video 'Switch' made me really appreciate how much of a grimey rapper he actually is.

DAMN! As far as I'm concerned that is a pretty impressive display of skill, ya'heard?!?

And when he teams up with Toronto producer Marco Polo.......FIYAAAAAAAAA!

MUNESHINE & GHETTOSOCKS ARE - TWIN PEAKS

I always gotta show love for my bredgen. I just did a show a couple weeks ago with Canadian heavyweights GHETTOSOCKS and MUNESHINE and it was CRAZY.

And yes, that is FRESH KILS and BRANDON DRAMATIC with me as well. Both Muneshine and Ghettosocks released a new video this week, and both videos are pretty dope. Check 'em out.

Muneshine - Gotta Feelin'

Cheers! I'm gonna got throw my hoodie on and go out for some treats, ya'heard?!?

Kush & Orange Juice

I haven't decided yet whether or not I like Wiz Khalifa. Some tracks I really do like, others, not so much. You decide.

Fav Tracks So Far (I'm in the process of listening to the mixtape) - "We're Done" .......did they really sample Camp Rock? Really? Taylor Gang or die I guess.

But I guess Lil' Wayne did it too so it is cool. Obviously.

Yay! For cross-genre music! Oh boy this is so swell!

The Roots - Dilla Joints - Instrumental Album!

I haven't even heard this shit yet. My man Lil'Rocs linksed me this, and I thought y'all need to be on this just as soon as me. I think I can safely say - and I might be going out on a limb here (I'm not, you are a moron if you think otherwise) - that this mixtape will be retarded.

Actually maybe you need an intro. The late J Dilla was one of, if not the, dopest Hip Hop producer(s) of all time. The Roots are the best Hip Hop band of all time, and Black Thought can rap for days, and he is unfortunately the most underrated rapper in the universe sometimes. I do need to catch up on my Roots shit, I'm slipping.

What Y'all Think?

Drake - Over

The first time I heard this song, I thought it was alright, but that Drake could do better. But now it has grown on me, and I think it is a bomb track, but that lyrically Drake still could do better.

However the video is absolutely amazing. One of my favourite videos in a long time.

Enjoi!

Oh. And also, I just think that girls in general look better with long hair. Or at least not a buzz cut. Word.

My First Youtube Video!

Now, I'm not really concerned about views. Youtube sent me this email detailing various things I could do to get more views... and I didn't really look at it. I figure I'll work on that once I have a mixtape I can direct people to. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy.

'Guapo & The Infinite Sadness' - Guapo

Cheers!

Nicki Minaj A Moi...

I swear EVE is a MUCH better rapper than Nicki Minaj. I mean, who remembers these joints? BANGERS!

Word.

But I actually I can't even say I don't fucks with Nicki. Word she lays it down hard - ha? - when she has too.

I just think that it kind of sucks that for a woman to make it as a Rapper, she has to a be hypersexualized freak. Eve, was maybe marginally more of a role model. Maybe?

Although I guess considering the whole culture surrounding yamming the pum pum, this might be a feminist anthem?

The Personal Is Political!

Jesus Christ

Listen to this song. Thank God for this.

IT'S DIZZY BABY

Diz Gibran. Crazy. Shout out to WRABEANZ for showing me.

I've been sleeping on this guy. He's a West Coast rapper who sounds like an East Coast lyricist (something he addresses on the intro to his mixtape). He gets on a whole slew of crazy beats, and I mean CRAZY beats. Plus he can rap for DAYS. Mixtape overall is a retarded look, and you should definitely download it.

Oh Asher...

Now, when Asher Roth came out I was a little skeptical, as I usually am of white rappers, because let's face it, so many of them are corny/cartoonish/sussbuckets and a caricature of what a rapper is. But 'I LOVE COLLEGE" was definitely a kind of feel good party anthem that was hard to ignore, and it grew on me. Plus the video made college look like a blast. Heck it might have even made a nation of slugs work a little harder in high school so that they could go to college and get wasted and whatnot.

I even went so far as to buy his album ASLEEP IN THE BREAD AISLE and it wasn't so bad. 'Lark on my go Kart' is actually pretty dope, and as far as I am concerned any song that talks about BLUMPKINS is considered GOLD in my books. A couple other grimey cuts made Asleep in the Bread Aisle a solid purchase. However it seemed to me like it was more a compilation of songs than something that came together as an album.

Asher Roth started off 2009 on fire, with a huge single and an album. After that, he kind of just feel off the map. However, he just dropped his new mixtape "Seared Foie Gras With Quince & Cranberry Sauce".

DOWNLOAD ASHER ROTH & DJ WRECKINEYEZ: SEARED FOIE GRAS WITH QUINCE & CRANBERRY

Personally, this mixtape made me realize how fucking boring and how much of a mediocre rapper Asher Roth actually is. I mean at first I was down with his cool calm swagger, but really now he just seems like a lazy lyricist who doesn't particularly try his hardest on most of the joints off of this mixtape. I got bored so quickly, and his monotone-ass voice just put me to goddamn sleep. Occasionally he drops a good cut, such as one of the solid songs on the album, 'FUCK THE MONEY' with B.O.B.

>

Otherwise this mixtape was pretty doo doo, and so is Asher Roth most of the times. Occasionally, when he actually tries to GO IN he is alright. But lets see where he goes from here.

Oh, and his friend "BOYDER" might be one of the worst/most annoying rappers I've heard in a hot minute. Fuck.
