50 is The Shit.
As far as I'm concerned, 50 Cent has followed a long line of GANGSTA rappers, and he has, as cliche as the sentence is, kept it REAL. With the exception of what are in my mind a few 'sellout' chickenhead songs ('Candy shop' to name one of them) 50 Cent has remained true to what he has always done -Gangsta rap. On his 2 most recent albums, you'd think that the pressure of being the LARGEST rap star on earth (at one point) would have made him switch his style up. Wrong
50 Cent continues to release gangsta/gully/gritty/grimey tracks without looking back. The way I see it, he has stayed true to himself, which is really all I can ask of someone.
This is keeping all those allegations of snitching aside. Because I really don't know anything about that.
So say what you want about 50 Cent, you may not like him, but I sure as hell respect him. Not to mention he is disgustingly rich, and not even solely off rap. This guy has crazy other ventures. Formula 50 ring a bell? Vitamin water? bom bom.
And sure he starts beef with pretty much anyone, but that's why we like him right?
