If He Was A Rapper...

If Josh Ritter was a rapper, I swear he would be the grimiest.

What I mean to say is that Joshy boy writes some of my favourite song lyrics of all time. Josh Ritter is an artist that really makes me appreciate song lyrics not specific to rap music. The stuff this guy writes is amazing. Straight up on some BEAUTIFUL shit. This guy is a poet and a goddanm half. In terms of being a songwriter, I'd personally put him up there with Bob Dylan and whoever else is considered a great songwriter these days. I know, quite the accolade. I guess I probably haven't listened to enough alt/folk/soft/w.e. rock to be able to fairly comment, however I think I've listened to my fair share and I think I know a good song/poem when I see one, so, WHAT UP DEN?. Plus I think I'm a solid Dylan fan. But I guess in comparison to other Dylan fans out there, I'm not even worth rating. But I digress.

Josh Ritter has written some of my favourite songs of all time, and I definitely think that the one I'm going to post deserves to be considered a triumph of the human mind.

Granted whatever genre Josh Ritter fits into isn't my forte, so you could say I don't really know what I'm talking about. But then I'd say you were a douchebag and to hop off my nuts.
